Do Pre-pay Cingular/AT&T phones work with Regular Cingular Sim Cards? My current Cingular Phone is dieing fast and i was wondering if by any chance a prepay phone could accept my regular service Sim card and work properly or not. Anyone know if it is possible of if certain phones can do it? Seeing the answers i have here i went to a local store to get the at&t/cingular Go phone (their prepay). Upon asking the Clerk some questions on the phone i asked if a regular service chip could be used on the phone only to be told that the phones (or chip don't remeber which) have been modified to prevent such useage. Is this true? Or was he just tring to make a sale on a reg service phone by lyin?

Any Newer AT&T(Cingular) Phones That Can Use Full Lenght MP3's As Ringtones? Hey, I was wondering if anyone knows of any newer AT&T(Cingular) Phones that will allow full lenght MP3's to be applyed as ringtones. I currenty bought a Motorola Razr v9 because I thought I could apply the MP3's as ringtones, but they only work on the music player. Thanks for the help.

Its like a cousin of the Blackberry or whatever. And its for Cingular. I love this phone a lot and all that but that isin't my problem. My problem is that I go to Spain every summer for 2 months. And all the other years I went I had this other phone that I knew wouldn't work in Spain. So I would just bought a new phone for Spain only so that when I went I could still talk to my friends and stuff. But now that I have this new phone I'm wondering if it would work in Spain with my contract and all that stuff because I know it is the cousin of the Blackberry and I know that the Blackberry works all over because my cousin from Spain used it in the U.S. Anyway...I was wondering if anyone knew if there was some way I could get my Pantech Duo to work in Spain because I lost that other Spain phone and its just way easier if I have my phone with my contacts and pictures and stuff. does anyone know if cingular phone support the at & t cell phone plans yet? I have an AT & T cell phone plan....Cingular bought out a few years ago, but I didnt have to change my plan. I dont want to change my plan, as I have alot of anytime minutes, and share with the family. Also we have text messaging on some of the phones. Cingular charges to recieve (read) messages as well as send them, where AT & T only charged to send. My kids text me all the time, and I send answers back from my computer. Has anyone had problems with Cingular/AT&T phones blocking 800 numbers? I work for a public safety agency. We use departmental Cingular/AT&T cell phones. When we try to make a call to an 800 number from the field we get a message "of call not allowed" and a stop sign icon on the screen. Annoying since the State Police, State Medical Examiner,State Fire Marshall's Office and Poison Control all use 800 numbers. Does anyone know a way around this block?
