Do Pre-pay Cingular/AT&T phones work with Regular Cingular Sim Cards?

My current Cingular Phone is dieing fast and i was wondering if by any chance a prepay phone could accept my regular service Sim card and work properly or not. Anyone know if it is possible of if certain phones can do it? Seeing the answers i have here i went to a local store to get the at&t/cingular Go phone (their prepay). Upon asking the Clerk some questions on the phone i asked if a regular service chip could be used on the phone only to be told that the phones (or chip don't remeber which) have been modified to prevent such useage. Is this true? Or was he just tring to make a sale on a reg service phone by lyin?

2. Yes, you can use a pre-paid phone as your regular service phone. All that is needed, is for you to place your service plan sim card into the pre-paid phone and it works like a charm!! Purchasing a pre-paid phone saves you TONS of money, compared to purchasing the same phone in the Service providers store.
