what is the best cell phone plan for me if my family already has a 2-year contract with cingular and 5 phones?

we have cingular and are limited to only 5 phones. I live in the San Diego area. any help? thanks in advance.

1. If they already have 5 phones on family talk, you are correct that 5 is the max on family talk. Best plan for you will depend on how you intend to use your phone, but you can get a basic nation plan from cingular/AT&T that starts at 39.99 -gives you 450 peak min (the ones you use from 6am-9pm during the week when you are not talking to other AT&T or cingular customers) and it also gives you rollover minutes and unlimited mobile to mobile and 5000 nights and weekends-includes your unlimited long distance and as long as you're in the US, no roaming charges. Another possibility you guys may want to consider (this will depend on who is actually paying the bills, and how many minutes they use, etc.- if your family is willing, you guys can go thru last 3 months of bills and check to see how many peak minutes (anytime minutes) everyone is actually using. They may be able to break up the current family talk plan - for example, put 3 lines on one family talk plan, and 3 lines on another on the same account -this might break your cost down a little without having theirs go up too much. Either way you go, if ur entire family is on AT&T, getting the same service so you have the unlimited mobile to mobile will probaby save you more than going with any other carrier.
