How do you work with microSD Cards and Samsung phones???? Please help!!?

I have a Samsung e900, and i recently bought a micro SD card for it, when i put it into the phone, a wee icon comes up to show me that it is in the phone, but when i go to 'My Files' and select 'Memory Card', it tells me that it is unrecognised, and asks if i want to 'format', when i hit 'yes', it says 'failed', anyone know what to do???????

1. I'm not sure about your phone, but with my friend's phone I had to format the card in the computer; then I transfered some songs from my computer to her card to see if it would work. No problems after that. My suggestion, try formatting the card in a computer first to see if that helps.
2. The samsung is rejecting the sd card because you probably have a 1gb or a 2gb or higher. Sometimes the 1gb will work fine, but it's best to go with a 512 mb. Since it's old it can't support that much memory.
